Laura Thomas-Walters is a conservationist and textile artist living in Kent.

I am currently working on my PhD at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE). I focus on behaviour change for demand reduction in the illegal wildlife trade, or how we can get people to stop buying things like rhino horn and ivory.

Previous research conducted with National Geographic looked at the impact that images of animals can have on our emotions and behaviours. This inspired me to start creating textile art featuring endangered species.
